Toledo picked up a much needed 5-4 victory behind a strong start from Enrique Gonzalez. Gonzalez allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings. Daniel Schlereth and Jay Sborz pitched the final 2 1/3 innings to get the hold and the save, respectively. Max Leon, Jeff Frazier and Casper Wells each ripped solo home runs to pace the offense.

The 'Wolves lost to Harrisburg 5-2 in 13 innings on Saturday. Duane Below was solid as the starter, giving up a run in five innings of work with six strikeouts. But Luis Marte got hammered in the top of the 13th, giving up three runs and leading to a Harrisburg win. Andy Dirks went 3-for-6 with a solo home run and fell a triple short of the cycle.

The Flying Tigers fell to Palm Beach 6-3 on Saturday. Adam Wilk took the loss, giving up four runs in 4 2/3 innings of work. Billy Nowlin drove the offense, going 2-for-3 with another home run and two RBI. Kody Kaiser also scored once and drove in one.

The Whitecaps pulled out a one run victory, topping Dayton 6-5. Trevor Feeney picked up the win despite giving up quite a few hits, he was still able to turn in a quality start, allowing three runs on ten hits in six innings. Victor Larez earned the save. Hernan Perez went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a solo home run, and Jordan Lennerton drove in two runs for the club.

The DSL Tigers got their season kicked off on a down note, falling to the DSL Angels 3-1. Edgar De La Rosa got the start, tossing three shutout innings while striking out six. Darlyn Duran took the loss for allowing two runs in his three relief innings. Samuel Ortiz went 3-for-3 for the club and drove in the team's only run.
