Despite a strong outing from Luke Putkonen, Fort Myers received a better one, as the Flying Tigers were shut out and fell 2-0. Putkonen went seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits. Tyler Conn and Rob Waite combined to finish the final two innings without giving up another run, but the Lakeland offense couldn't capitalize on the threats they got going. In both the bottom of the seventh and the bottom of the ninth Lakeland got the tying runners on base, but neither team could they come up with a key hit to score them. The team scattered eight singles and no extra base hits for the game, with Josh Workman tallying a pair of them.

The Whitecaps split a pair of games on Sunday, dropping the suspended game from Saturday, but coming up with a 3-2 walk-off win in Sunday's contest. In the completion of the first game, Jacob Turner relieved Ramon Lebron (who pitched Saturday) and took the loss, giving up four runs on eight hits in six innings of work. Jordan Lennerton led the charge, going 4-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. In the second game, despite a wild outing from Jared Wesson, the team was able to pick up a close victory. Wesson made it through just one inning, allowing two runs on five walks without allowing a hit. Zach Samuels was outstanding though in relief, tossing five shutout innings. Kenny Faulk earned the win in relief thanks to Alexis Espinoza's walk-off homer. Luis Salas also added a pair of doubles and scored twice.

The DSL Tigers suffered a 4-2 loss to the DSL Blue Jays on Sunday. Benny Paulino got the start, giving up one unearned run without allowing a hit in four innings of work. Walter Lachapel would take the loss in relief, giving up two runs on two hits in three innings. Raynolds Guzman had two hits and an RBI for the club, while Javier Romero added three hits to the effort.
