The SeaWolves fell again to Portland on Wednesday, hurting themselves with four errors as they lost 10-6. Duane Below got the start and a no decision, giving up two runs (one earned) on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings of work. Ramon Garcia would take the loss in relief, giving up three runs, but just one earned. All told, the four errors resulted in four unearned runs, also the margin of victory for the Sea Dogs. Three of those errors went to Michael Bertram, and the final to Audy Ciriaco on a poor throw. Andy Bouchie ripped a two run homer for the club, while Bertram attempted to make up for his defensive miscues with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Andy Dirks also added three hits.

The Flying Tigers dropped a 13 inning battle with Tampa on Wednesday, losing 5-4. Adam Wilk got the start, giving up just one run over seven innings of work on six hits. He also struck out five. Tyler Conn would take the loss for giving up the go-ahead run in the top of the 13th, unearned, when the Flying Tigers had a chance to turn a double play but an errant throw by Alden Carrithers on the turn allowed the run to score. Carrithers did have three hits with a pair of runs scored. Gustavo Nunez also had a good game, going 3-for-7 with a triple and a pair of RBI.

Cedar Rapids triumphed over the Whitecaps again, with West Michigan falling 5-2. Trevor Feeney took the loss, giving up all fiver runs in 7 1/3 innings of work. He also walked one and struck out four. Jamie Johnson had a hit, an RBI and a stolen base for the club, while Michael Rockett also drove in a run.

The VSL Tigers beat back a late rally by the VSL Rays and pulled out a 5-4 victory. Leonel Vasquez got the start, giving up two runs on two hits in four innings of work. It would be Julio Guilarte that would get the win though, his second of the season, for giving up a run in three innings of work. Manuel Morandi allowed one run on, and Juan Espinoza came in and let the inherited runner score, but he was still able to preserve the win in the ninth. Eugenio Suarez had two hits, a run and two RBI for the club, while Jesus Alvarado also added two hits including a double and an RBI.

The DSL Tigers fell to the DSL Rangers in a slugfest, losing 9-8. Gregorio Solano got the start and a no decision, giving up a run on three hits in four innings of work with five strikeouts. Walter Lachapel would take the loss, giving up four runs in three innings. Samuel Crafort, Raynolds Guzman and Javier Romero each belted home runs for the DSL Tigers.
