Toledo got their homestand kicked off on a down note, falling to Rochester 10-6. L.J. Gagnier got the start and a no decision, giving up five runs (just two earned) in five innings of work. Josh Rainwater took the loss in relief, giving up three runs in his 2 1/3 innings of work. Wilkin Ramirez belted a two run homer for the Hens, while Casper Wells and Ryan Strieby also added solo shots.

The SeaWolves bats finally awoke to put up a few runs, unfortunately, the Erie pitching staff couldn't keep New Hampshire in check as Erie fell again 11-5. Jon Kibler took the brunt of the damage in taking the loss, giving up eight runs on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings of work. Each Erie reliever that appeared also allowed one more run as New Hampshire padded its lead. Michael Bertram ripped a two run shot for the club, while Cesar Nicolas and Andy Dirks each added two hits and scored a run.

The Whitecaps lost their battle with Quad Cities in extra innings on Saturday, falling 4-3 in ten. Jacob Turner was strong as the starter, giving up a run on three hits in 5 2/3 innings of work. He also struck out five. Kenny Faulk took the loss in relief, giving up three singles in the tenth to allow the winning run to score. Michael Rockett had two hits and drove in two runs, while Alexis Espinoza added a double, a run and an RBI.
