The SeaWolves offense exploded on Wednesday as the club snapped their losing skid and picked up a 9-3 win over Portland. Thad Weber was also excellent on the mound, tossing seven shutout innings, scattering six hits with six strikeouts. At the plate, it's impossible to single out one performance, as the team combined for 15 hits. Andy Dirks had a monster game, going 3-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Cale Iorg also went 2-for-5 with a two run homer, and Josh Burrus added a solo shot. Audy Ciriaco also chipped in with three hits and an RBI.

Lakeland and Daytona needed extra innings again on Wednesday, but this time around the Flying Tigers came out with a 4-3 win. Adam Wilk got the start for the club, turning in seven solid innings, allowing a pair of runs on seven hits. Miguel Mejia pitched two innings of relief to pick up the win, as the Flying Tigers posted a pair of runs in the top half of the tenth. Lester Oliveros then pitched the tenth, giving up a run, but holding on to record his seventh save. Chris White provided the firepower, belting a two run homer in the tenth to give Lakeland the lead. Brandon Douglas had a pair of hits and scored a run, and Billy Nowlin added a hit and an RBI.

Behind an outstanding start from Giovanni Soto, the Whitecaps picked up a 1-0 victory over Lake County. Soto tossed a complete game shutout, giving up just three hits while striking out seven as he picked up his fifth win of the season. The 'Caps offense didn't have much going, but a triple from Michael Rockett got a Whitecap in scoring position, and Jamie Johnson brought him home for the game's only run.

While the Whitecaps picked up a 1-0 victory, the VSL Tigers fell 1-0 to the VSL Rays. Endrys Briceno got the start, tossing 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball as he got a no decision. Angel Carreno took the loss for allowing the game's only run in relief. The offense meanwhile mustered just two hits, singles from Jesus Alvarado and Daniel Carranza.

The DSL Tigers also lost in a game with a one run differential, falling to the DSL Blue Jays 3-2 in 11 innings. Walter Lachapel got the start but recorded just one out before exiting after getting into a jam. Yinio Calderon came on in relief and gave the club 3 1/3 innings of solid relief. Jose Valdez would take the loss, giving up the go-ahead run in the 11th inning. Ricardo Olivo had two hits and an RBI for the club.
