The Mud Hens completed a series split with Norfolk on Sunday, topping the Tides 5-1. Alfredo Figaro turned in an outstanding start, giving up a run on eight hits in 7 1/3 innings of work. Daniel Schlereth and Jay Sborz closed out the game, recording the final five outs. Jeff Frazier ripped a solo home run for the club, while Casper Wells added a three run homer in the eighth inning to give the team a cushion. Jon Weber also added three hits including a double.

The SeaWolves appear to be in the midst of another of their strong win streaks following up a rough run of losses. Erie topped New Hampshire 13-6. Duane Below got the win as the starter, giving up four runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings. He also walked one and struck out five. Everyone got into the action at the plate, including a grand slam from Michael Bertram. Shawn Roof also added three RBI for the club, while Andy Dirks and Audy Ciriaco also belted solo home runs.

The Whitecaps wrapped up their final game before the All-Star break, getting shut out by Bowling Green 2-0. Trevor Feeney took the loss but turned in a solid start, giving up two runs on four hits in five innings of work. Jared Wesson and Richard Zumaya kept Bowling Green from scoring the rest of the way, but the 'Caps offense couldn't get much going. The team managed just five hits, all singles, including two from Jamie Johnson.

Rayni Guichardo was excellent as he led Connecticut to a 5-3 win over Tri-City on Sunday. Guichardo earned the win, tossing seven innings, allowing a run on four hits, including two walks and three strikeouts. Logan Hoch also tossed a scoreless inning of relief. At the plate, Matt Mansilla ripped a two run homer for the club. James Robbins also added a double, an RBI and scored two runs.
