The Mud Hens dropped a close battle with Indianapolis, falling 6-5. Ryan Ketchner got the start, giving up four runs (two earned) in 5 1/3 innings. Jay Sborz took the loss for allowing the go-ahead run. Will Rhymes went 4-for-5 with an RBI.

Brooks Brown was hit hard as the SeaWolves lost 10-9. Brown gave up nine runs on seven hits in 2 2/3 innings. He also walked four. The offense almost got them all the way back after falling down 10-0, thanks to an Andy Bouchie three run homer and a Michael Bertram grand slam, but they came up just short.

The Whitecaps suffered a 1-0 defeat to South Bend despite great pitching. Nate Newman and Zach Samuels each tossed four innings for the 'Caps, with Newman taking the loss for allowing one run as the starter. Tony Plagman and Jamie Johnson each had two hits.

Connecticut picked up a 6-3 win behind a strong start from Clemente Mendoza. Mendoza gave up three runs in six innings to pick up his first win. Brennan Smith also earned his first save for tossing the final inning, while Robbie Weinhardt was perfect for two more innings. Josh Ashenbrenner and James Robbins each had two hits and an RBI.
