The Mud Hens picked up an 8-5 win over Pawtucket thanks to the bat of Jeff Frazier. Frazier belted two home runs and drove in four total for the Hens. Casper Wells also added a solo shot. Andrew Oliver gave up five runs in five innings for his first win as a Hen, while Jay Sborz picked up his 18th save.

The SeaWolves fell to Altoona 6-3 on Wednesday. Thad Weber took the loss, giving up six runs in six innings of work. Shawn Roof had the club's only RBI.

Lakeland topped Bradenton 7-6 on Wednesday, thanks to a six run seventh inning featuring a grand slam. Adam Wilk got the start but struggled, giving up six runs in just three innings of work. But Rob Waite tossed three scoreless innings of relief, and Dan Gentzler earned the win. Bryan Holaday was the one that belted the grand slam for the Flying Tigers. Jordan Lennerton also added two hits and two RBI.

After the Whitecaps lost their scheduled starter to the team on the other side of the field, the 'Caps scrambled to find enough pitching, but luckily they got enough hitting to out pace the opponent in a 16-14 win. Jordan Pratt got the win in relief for tossing 2 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball and being the pitcher on record when the 'Caps claimed the lead for good. Every member of the lineup had at least one RBI, with Jamie Johnson driving in two and scoring three times himself. Jeff Rowland added a solo home run, and Rob Brantly had two hits, three runs and an RBI.

The C-Tigers fell to Staten Island 1-0 on Wednesday. Brennan Smith went the distance and took the loss, allowing the one run in eight innings of work with six strikeouts. Connecticut managed six hits, but went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.

Jeff Barfield took the loss as the GCL Tigers fell 8-1 to the GCL Yankees. Barfield allowed two runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings. Ramon Lebron came on in relief and struggled as well, allowing three more runs in two innings of work. Stephen Moya and Patrick Leyland each added two hits.

The DSL Tigers fell 9-5 to the DSL Blue Jays. Jorge Medina took the loss, giving up six runs though just three earned in 4 1/3 innings of work. Omar Oses added two hits and drove in two runs in the loss.
