Twins Make Two Selections In Fourth Round

The Twins picked up two players during the fourth round, picking up a first baseman, and a guy who can play all over the field. The first baseman is Whitney Robbins from Georgia Tech, who is currently playing in the College World Series. Garrett Olson was the other selection, a utility guy who played in a wood bat league in Division II. He was an All-American.

The Twins had two selections during the fourth round, picking up a Type B selection for their trade of Jacque Jones. With that selection, the Twins took Whitney Robbins, a first baseman for Georgia Tech University. Robbins has a good bat, and has great plate discipline. He is currently a main part of a Yellow Jacket team that is currently well into the College World Series. He takes on the College of Charleston starting on Friday.

With their second pick in the round, the Twins picked up Garrett Olson from Franklin and Pierce College. Olson plays in a wood bat league that is a in Division II, so that really got the scouts' eyes. He has shown good pop for using a wood bat, and has played all over the field this season.
