Twins Pick Up AFLAC MVP In Fifth Round

The Twins struck gold once again on Tuesday, picking up the MVP of the AFLAC All-American Game in the fifth round. A power guy with a great arm, Sheperd projects to be a corner outfielder, and is a really exciting pick. Interview to follow:

The Twins selected Devin Sheperd in the fifth round of the 2006 draft, picking up the MVP of last summer's AFLAC All-American Game. Sheperd has great power, a great arm, and could become a five-tool guy as well. Some believed he would go higher in the draft, and once again the Twins brass made the right move.

Out of Oxnard High School in California, we have scheduled an interview with Sheperd for 5pm, so those of you who want the latest info on the latest draftee, sign up for your premium subscription now.
