SN Report: Loaiza Wraps up Spring With Win

Esteban Loaiza ended his spring training Saturday night against the Houston Astros, throwing four scoreless innings in the 5-0 win.

Following the win, the Sox cut their roster to 25 by reassigning second baseman Aaron Miles and optioning left-handed pitcher Dave Sanders.

Magglio Ordonez drove in four runs, three coming off a home run. He went 2-3. Frank Thomas, Tony Graffanino -- who played shortstop -- D'Angelo Jimenez, Paul Konerko, Carlos Lee and Sandy Alomar each had a hit. Joe Crede and Aaron Rowand each went 0-4 at third base and center field respectively.

Lefties Kelly Wunsch and Damaso Marte and right-handers Rick White, Tom Gordon and Billy Koch.

The Sox will play their final pre-season game on Sunday against their minor league affiliate Double-A Birmingham Barons. Opening day for the White Sox is Monday, March 31 against the Kansas City Royals. Gametime is 2:05 p.m. CT.
