It's been a busy last week for Glenbard North (Ill.) running back Justin Jackson.
And every school that stopped by, had good things to say about Jackson.
"They were just saying how I had a great year," Jackson said. "They wanted to get me down for junior days and they wanted to stay in touch. They also told me I was doing a great job keeping my grades up academically."
Plus, Jackson picked up two new offers.
"Iowa and Vanderbilt offered me," Jackson said. "I really was excited because I really have liked Vanderbilt for a while and I have talked to several of their coaches and watched a few of their games."
He added, "I would really like to get out to visit Vanderbilt and Iowa too, I went to a game there this year and it was crazy."
That wasn't all Jackson had to say about his trip to visit Iowa.
"It was a close game and they are doing really good things up there," Jackson said. "And I got to see all their practice facilities. I have a bunch of friends from Glenbard North that go to Iowa, and they love it there."
Jackson's two newest offers -- were a bit unexpected.
"They were a little bit of a surprise, although I had been in contact with both schools a lot," Jackson said. "I wasn't sure if and when they were going to offer, but once they came in and I talked to them and they offered -- I was really excited and I just felt good about it."
He continued, "I look forward to starting to build relationships with the coaches. It's been a great experience so far."
The 5-foot-11, 180 pound back knows he will take some spring visits, but hasn't narrowed down his list quite yet.
"I haven't really started narrowing down my list," Jackson said. "Because we just got done with the season I haven't really seen a lot of schools yet. I will be taking some junior days soon, but once I decide what I want to major in and what type of location I want then I will start narrowing down the schools."
In the meantime, Jackson moves on to basketball where he plays the 3 or 4 for Glenbard North.
"I wouldn't say any new schools in particular have contacted me," Jackson said. "But I am hoping to get a few new faces in school or over Facebook or email soon. I am looking forward to continuing the recruiting process."
