In our 19th ranking of 2016, here's a list of the top 20 performances from the Yankees' prospects.

Here are the top 20 performances by the Yankees' prospects in the long-season leagues. This is our 19th installment of the Power Rankings for the 2016 season.

Note: This list is not about who are the better players or prospects, but rather who is doing the best and making the most of their opportunities.

Rank Player Team Comments Last Week's Rank
Chance Adams TRE

Struck out ten batters in what is reportedly his last start of the season; the farm system strikeout leader, he has a 12-strikeout lead heading into the last week of the season

Kyle Higashioka SWB The batting average is taking a bit of a nosedive lately -- he had just one hit last week -- but it of course went out for his 20th home run of the season 2
Dietrich Enns SWB Like Adams, Enns has most likely made his last start of the 2016 season; now relegated to the bullpen, he leads the farm in wins [14] and ranks second in starter ERA [.175] 3
Dustin Fowler TRE The total bases leader [240] has a current 8-game hit streak and has a .965 OPS over his last 43 games 4
Jordan Montgomery SWB Didn't make a start this past week [he's scheduled to pitch on Wednesday] and he's just one win behind Enns and 13 strikeouts behind Adams 5
Gleyber Torres TAM Starting to heat up, hitting .342 in his last ten games. He ranks the top five in every offensive category except home runs 5
Nestor Cortes TAM The video game-like numbers continue; he got bumped up to Triple-A and tossed 5 2/3 innings of no-hit ball in his debut 7
Jonathan Holder SWB In any other system he'd be higher in a week in which he struck out 12 batters in four innings; like Cortes the numbers are quite insane for 2016, including the fact he hasn't walked double-digit batters yet 8
Ben Gamel SWB Named the International League MVP and his .322 batting average since June 1st has a lot to do with it 11
Clint Frazier SWB Currently on the DL but his season numbers -- including ranking third in total bases [203] -- are still impressive; one of four farm system players to have double-digit home runs and stolen bases 9
Miguel Andujar TRE Unlike previous seasons Andujar isn't sizzling hot to finish the year; he's hitting just .234 in his last 43 games 10
Josh Rogers TAM He was solid in his most recent outing, which also aptly described his season overall 13
Yefrey Ramirez TAM Quickly reversed his slumping trend with two straight gems, including an 8-inning, 1-hit shutout in the first of his two starts this week 19
James Reeves TAM Kind of limping to the finish line this season, posting a 6.00 ERA so far in August, but the season numbers are still way beyond impressive 12
Jake Cave SWB Andujar & Cave headline the list of players running hot and cold in 2016 -- he's hitting just .222 in his last 36 games -- but the season overall numbers are very good 15
Chris Gittens CHA Like Frazier he's currently on the DL but his season numbers can't be forgotten 16
Thairo Estrada TAM Falls into the Andujar-Cave category as streaky hitter in 2016; he's batting .302 in his last 58 games though, ranking his .284 average seventh down on the farm 18
Giovanny Gallegos SWB In any other year he'd be the talk of the relieving corp down on the farm but gets overshadowed by Holder in '16; his 99 strikeouts are just two behind Holder 20
Mark Payton TRE With ten home runs and ten stolen bases he joins Gleyber Torres, Dustin Fowler, and Clint Frazier as the only Yankee farmhands to have double digit totals in both categories NR
Jorge Mateo TAM Another streaky middle infielder; just when it appeared he was going to finish the season hot he then went 2 for his last 17 14
