Cavs lose to Bulls again

The Cavaliers and Bulls battled in Chicago, and the Bulls won for the fourth-straight time this year, 99-93

The Cavaliers might not want to play the Bulls in the playoffs as it seems the Bulls have the Cavaliers number.

For the fourth-straight time this season, Chicago defeated the Cavaliers, 99-93 and knocked the Cavs back into second-place in the Eastern Conference. 

The Cavs fall to 47-27, while the Bulls kept their playoff hopes alive by improving to 36-39. 

The Cavs led 50-41 at halftime, but were outscored by 16 points in the third quarter, 37-21 to trail after three quarters, 78-71 and the Cavs couldn't make up the deficit in the fourth quarter. 

LeBron James led the Cavs with 26 points and Kyrie Irving added 20. 

Nikola Mirotic scored 28 points and Jimmy Butler added 25 for the Bulls.

LeBron Passes Shaq: LeBron James passed Shaquille O'Neal (28,596 points) for 7th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list in the fourth quarter. James finished with 26 points.

The East: The Cavs and Celtics are battling for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The Cavs started the night at 47-26 (.644) and were just percentage points ahead of the Celtics, who were idle at 48-27 .640. The Cavs fall to 47-27 (.635) and fall back into second in the East by percentage points to the idle Celtics

March Struggles: The Cavs are now 6-10 in the month of March.

3 Ball: Cleveland was just 10-of-27 for 37 percent. J. R. Smith was 4-of-7 from three-point range for 12 points. 

Double-Double: LeBron James was the only Cavalier with a double-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. 

Dishing It Out: The Cavs had 23 assists and 15 turnovers. LeBron James had eight assists.

No RJ, Korver: The Cavs had two of their rotation players out against the Bulls. Richard Jefferson (knee) and Kyle Korver (foot) sat out. Korver is expected to miss one more game and then the Cavs hope he will be able to play next week. 

Next Up: The Cavs will return to Quicken Loans Arena to host the 76ers Friday night at 7:30 pm.
