Cavs open Eastern Conference Semi Finals against Raptors on Monday

The Cavs and Raptors will meet again in the Eastern Conference Semi Finals beginning Monday May 1

CLEVELAND--In 2016, the Cavaliers swept the Detroit Pistons and then the Atlanta Hawks before meeting the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Cavs prevailed in six games with the final win coming in Toronto. The Cavs then went to the NBA Finals and defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 to become NBA Champions. 

This season, the Cavs and Raptors will meet in a round earlier as the two teams will face off in the Eastern Conference Semi Finals starting Monday May 1. The first two games will be at Quicken Loans Arena, despite both teams finishing the regular season with identical 51-31 records. The Cavs had the tie breaker between the two teams and received the No. 2 seed, while the Raptors had the No. 3 seed. 

The Cavs swept the Pacers, 4-0, while the Raptors survived the Bucks, 4-2.
