Nicolas Batum named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Nicolas Batum was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week in game played form Nov. 9 to Nov. 15. Charlotte posted a 3-1 record through the four-game stretch.

Nicolas Batum was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, for games played from Nov. 9 through Nov. 15, as announced by the NBA on Monday. 

Batum averaged 25.5 points, six rebounds and three assists through the four game stretch. The first-year Hornet ranked fifth in three-point field goal percentage (57.7 percent), connecting on 15-of-26 from deep on the week. 

The French native tallied a season-high 33 points Sunday and added six assist and five rebounds in Charlotte’s 106-94 win at home against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Hornets posted a 3-1 record over the four-game stretch. 

Charlotte is 4-1 in games where Batum scores 17 or more points.
