The Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls square off for the third time this season

The Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls square off for the third time this season.

Charlotte and Chicago meet for the third time this season Saturday in the Windy City. Each team has won on its home court.

The Hornets entered the first matchup between the two teams winless but exploded for 130 points to claim their first victory of the season. Charlotte has gone 10-5 since losing its first three games of the year. Chicago is 8-3 since the loss at Time Warner Cable Arena on Nov. 3.

After eclipsing the 100 point point plateau in four of five games, Charlotte has failed to reach the century mark in its last three contests. The 130 points the Hornets scored in the first meeting was a season high.

In his first start of the season on Wednesday, Cody Zeller finished with six points and three rebounds in 17 minutes in the loss to Golden State. Frank Kaminsky came off the bench to score a career-best 16 in over 26 minutes of action as the rookie continues to earn more playing time of late.

Chicago’s Nikola Mirotic suffered an injury to the head in the Bulls’ win over Denver on Wednesday. He is listed as a game-time decision against the Hornets. Mirotic is one of four starters for Chicago that averages double figures in scoring.
