Dwight Howard will try again this year, but will make sure the judges see it all. Fans get a vote this year, so vote for Dwight, and join us to watch at NBA City in Orlando.

Vote Dwight: For Dunk Champion

Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite this year in the 2008 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, to be held Saturday, February 16th, at 8pm ET on TNT. The dunk contest is a part of the NBA All-Star Weekend held in New Orleans, and Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard needs your vote.

Last year, Dwight Howard's dunk came across "misunderstood". The judges did not realize that in the process of his dunk, he had slapped a sticker of himself at the top of the backboard. This year, Howard will make sure the judges are prepared for what he might attempt.

"I don't have any stickers, so I won't be putting a smiley face on there, but I might be putting something else on the backboard," Dwight hinted.

Dwight has kept pretty quiet about his plans but he did mention that he might don a cape.

"I don't want to reveal my secrets yet," Howard said. "I'm going to wear a cape, though. You might see a little Superman cape out there."

Other competitors in the competition will include defending champion Gerald Green of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Memphis Grizzlies' Rudy Gay and Jamario Moon of the Toronto Raptors.

For the first time, fans will have the final say in deciding the winner of the Sprite Slam Dunk competition. Following the concluding round of dunks, fans will be able to cast their votes via SMS TXT message and at to determine this year's winner.
