Dirk Down In OKC: Exits With 'Sore Knee'

Dirk Nowitzki left midway through the second quarter of the Mavs-OKC game due to what Dallas is now terming a "sore right knee.'' To so-far low-down:

*The Mavs were up 42-36 when the injury occured. Nowitzki appeared to come down awkwardly during a made jumper, with his foot and ankle giving way.

*Nowitzki remained on the floor momentarily to complete the three-point play with a free-throw. That gave him 13 points in his first 15 minutes, and positioned him just three points away from passing Gary Payton for No. 24 on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

*The Mavs are now tied at 56-all at halftime.

*DallasBasketball.com will keep you posted throughout the night on the condition of Dirk and the Mavs.
