Wednesday Mavs Donuts: 'Electric Diarrhea'
DONUT 1: Who's panicking after an 87-83 loss that gives Dallas an 0-2 preseason record?
"We're five days away right now. We're keeping our bodies ready and our minds right. We're going to make another run at this. I think we have the talent in this locker room and the mental approach it's going to take to go out there and get it again." -Shawn Marion
"It will take some time. When you play a game, you play to win it. We'll look at how we can improve as a unit." -Lamar Odom
"This will all come together when we play awhile. We will see how fast we can pick it up." -Dirk Nowitzki
DONUT 2: Same theme, other locker room.
"Please don't read too much into it. Those guys, they rested a lot of guys." -Kevin Durant
DONUT 3: Dirk was a little out of shape, eh?
"As long as nothing hurts I'm fine; the wind will come back. But it's definitely better than it was two weeks ago when we started camp -- I actually wasn't joking about that amnesty thing two weeks ago." -Dirk Nowitzki
DONUT 4: On the debut of the Three-Forward Lineup (Dirk, Trix, Odom) and what didn't work.
"Well it's gonna take some time as well . . . We never played together, and that's how it looked; they made like a 10-0 run. We were staggering a little bit offensively, didn't know what to do. That lineup wasn't great today, but I think it could be a weapon in the future if we get used to each other. I think defensively all three of us are long, we can switch a lot. On offense we gotta keep moving the ball. That lineup today was a challenge, but it can only get better." -Dirk Nowitzki
DONUT 5: On how that Three-Forward Lineup kinda needs to work.
"Dirk, Shawn and Lamar were all out there for one stretch and that is a lineup we felt we had to look at. We're going to be playing it some here and there, I'm not sure how much. But the only way to get everybody more acclimated is to play them through some of these struggles. I'm going to remain upbeat but realistic about it." -Coach Rick Carlisle
DONUT 6: Kidd played, but this was about whether the kids are alright.
"We going to need Roddy and Dominique in this season. We need some fresh legs. There's a lot of games in a short period of time and we have some older guys -- obviously, we all know that -- and we're gonna need some young guys to step in and give us some energy, some fresh legs." -Dirk Nowitzki
DONUT 7: On the looming Christmas Day.
"Basically we have four days, then we have to play." - Rick Carlisle.

DONUT 9: On how good OKC is.
"I don't want people to think we're a finished product. We still have a lot of work. But I think as far as the other teams compare, we're in a good spot." - Nazr Mohammed.
DONUT 10: On the eventual Double-Sixth-Man strength.
"We've got two of the best in recent years in Jet and Lamar Odom. Guys that can gear their mindset around the beginning of their game is going to be six or seven or eight minutes into it. And then being able to jump in there and just play the game. If the shot comes right away, then you've got to be ready to take it . . . It's uncanny the number of times Jet comes in and hits his first shot. And Lamar's been the same way with the Lakers. Its great having those two guys." -Coach Rick Carlisle

DONUT 11: From reporter Dwain Price, who says Delonte West declined to shake hands with a media guy.
"Let's elbow shake. I've got the electric diarhea.''
DONUT 12: The game in a nutshell.
"I liked the first quarter. I liked the latter stages of the fourth quarter. The part in between was rough, so we have to work through it." -Coach Rick Carlisle
