Mavs Crush OKC; Who Deserves 'The Dirkie'?

On offense Sunday in OKC? Dallas shot 53.3-percent from the floor on offense. And on defense? The good guys held the Thunder to 36.7-percent shooting. Overall, nobody on the Thunder squad managed a positive plus/minus while Dallas recorded a 109-86 win featuring lots of candidates for 'The Dirkie'!

You probably know this already; before Sunday night, the last time the Dallas Mavericks won a game over the Oklahoma City Thunder was during the Western Conference Finals -- our ticket punch to the NBA Finals.

Since then, lots of fails.

And then on Sunday, before the Warriors took the floor at Portland in a game that, should the Warriors lose, would mean Dallas is just a half-game out of sixth ... Glory!

The offense clicked to the tune of 53.3-percent shooting. The defense clicked to the tune of 36.7-percent shooting allowed.

Balance was key -- as coach Rick Carlisle said in review, "'One of our goals is for Dirk not to have to have a monster night every night'' -- and balance means lots of candidates from Dallas 109, Thunder 86 for "The Dirkie''!
