Mavs Visits Now: Wilson, Jefferson, Moreland

A trio of compelling prospects roll into Dallas today for Mavs' pre-draft workouts, sources tell Exclusive looks inside the AAC at Marquette's Jamil Wilson, Baylor's Cory Jefferson and Oregon State's Eric Moreland. The Mavs Premium stuff! has learned that today's Dallas Mavericks pre-draft workouts at the AAC featured three prospects -- or, at least, was supposed to feature the following three.

Jamil Wilson, the Marquette standout, sustained a sprained ankle during a recent workout for the Jazz. That's caused him to scratch sessions with teams, Dallas included. But he remains on the wish list for this team with two second-round picks.

Wilson fits the mold we were told to look for: A versatile 6-7 athlete who averaged 11.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists as a senior last season.
Cory Jefferson is in Dallas' full Tuesday workout plans. He's 23 and just started this year to develop a jumper. But some think the power forward prospect is a top-50 player at 6-9 and 218.

Eric Moreland is a Texas native and an Oregon State product who some think remains a project. The 6-10, 224-pound junior might be able to play forward or center.
Dallas presently holds two second-round picks (at Nos. 34 and 51). But interestingly, has learned that at least two of the Mavs pre-draft invitees might be projected as first-rounders ( our list of Mavs pre-draft workouts which you can read exclusively here) ... so again, they are exploring.

We're exploring, too, which is how we bring you the exclusive story of the four interesting 7-footers who visited Dallas on Monday.
