Locked On Mavs: Upgrades and Downgrades, Injury Scoop On Devin + D-Will

Devin and Deron provide DB.com with injury updates, and Marshall and Kemp provide you with today's 'Locked On Mavs' - Biggest Upgrades and Downgrades

Mavs training camp is just two weeks away ... and DallasBasketball.com caught up with veteran guards Deron Williams and Devin Harris -- both coming off offseason surgery -- to learn how far away they are for camp.

Let's call this "hopeful good news.''

From D-Will, who underwent surgery on that sports hernia injury that limited him late last season:

I haven't talked to coach (Rick Carlisle) or Casey (Smith, trainer) yet, but I've been given medical clearance to start camp,'' Williams told us. "We will do it smart. I don't want any hiccups or setbacks, but I have taken three months off from basketball to get ready for this.''

From Devin, who underwent toe surgery:

"I'm not there yet,'' he told us over the weekend. "I just started running last week. I anticipate I'll be good to go, maybe by the second week of training camp.''
