The Indiana Pacers will take a look at their second group of draft hopefuls Tuesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Those players expected to work out are Utah’s Delon Wright, William & Mary’s Marcus Thornton, Notre Dame’s Pat Connaughton, Georgetown’s Jabril Trawick and Greg Whittington and Texas’ Jonathan Holmes.
Last week, the Pacers checked out Syracuse’s Rakeem Christmas, Notre Dame’s Jerian Grant, Boston College’s Olivier Hanlan, Bowling Green’s Rican Holmes, Murray State’s Cameron Payne and Oregon’s Joseph Young.
The Pacers have the 11th overall selection in the June 25th NBA Draft at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The team also has a second-round choice, the 43rd overall selection.
Many mock draft analysts project the Pacers to be in the market for an inside player, considering center Roy Hibbert and forward David West are entering the final years of their contracts. Both are expected to exercise their final-year contract options and return to the team for the 2015-16 season.
Pacers president Larry Bird and head coach Frank Vogel have said the team will look to play a more up-tempo style next season. The Pacers finished this past season 38-44 but missed out on the playoffs due to a tiebreaker, the first time they haven’t been in the postseason in five years.
