49ers sign tight end Morrah

The 49ers signed the former Seattle Seahawk tight end to a one-year deal on Thursday.

The San Francisco 49ers added a free-agent tight end, the team announced Thursday.

Former Seattle Seahawk and Cal Bear Cameron Morrah will be returning to the Bay Area to join incumbents Vernon Davis and Garrett Celek by signing a one-year deal.

The Claremont, Calif. native was originally a seventh-round selection by Seattle in 2009 and has appeared in 27 games in his four seasons. The 6-foot-3, 251-pounder has made seven starts and 16 career receptions averaging 12.1 yards per catch.

Morrah scored 10 touchdowns in his three-year career with the Golden Bears, with eight coming in his junior season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
