Injury report: Bethea questionable

There was a surprise addition to the 49ers' injury report Friday. Safety Antoine Bethea was listed with an ankle injury, putting his 100-start streak at risk. There was also news from the tight end position during Friday's open locker room.

Safety Antoine Bethea is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with an ankle injury, putting his 100th-consecutive start in jeopardy.

Bethea has made every start dating back to 2008 and didn't show up on the injury report until after Friday afternoon's practice. But in the locker room, he was not wearing a brace or wrap, nor was he moving around with a noticeable limp.

Other questionables include Anthony Davis, who returned to practice this week. Tight end Vernon Davis said he would be a game-time decision. Second tight end Vance McDonald said he expects to play Sunday after undergoing a vigorous post-practice workout with trainers Friday. Both Davis and McDonald missed last week's 23-14 loss in Arizona.

Tramaine Brock (toe), who hasn't practiced since before Week 1, is also listed as questionable. But it appears doubtful he will play. Brock injured his toe in the first quarter of the season-opening win against the Cowboys.

Michael Crabtree (quad), Frank Gore (back), Justin Smith (not injury related) and Patrick Willis (wrist) are all listed as probably for Sunday. Rookie center Marcus Martin (knee) is the only 49er official ruled out for Sunday.
