SANTA CLARA, Calif. - All of the 49ers who were injured in Monday's win over the Rams missed practice Wednesday. But two players that had been dealing with earlier injuries returned to the field.
Cornerback Tramaine Brock and right tackle Anthony Davis practiced for the first time since sustaining their respective injuries. Brock has been out since the season opening win in Dallas with a toe ailment, while Davis has missed the last two games since suffering a knee and ankle injury in the first quarter of Week 4's win over the Eagles.
Linebacker Patrick Willis, left guard Mike Iupati, defensive back Jimmie Ward and wideout Stevie Johnson were not on the field at the start of practice. Willis was in a walking boot after sustaining a toe injury against St. Louis.
49ers coach Jim Harbaugh wouldn't elaborate on the severity of Willis' injury, but did say his All-Pro linebacker is "day-to-day."
Iupati left the Rams game in the second half to get tested for a concussion. Ward exited the game with a quad injury and didn't return.
Davis, who had missed the first three weeks with a hamstring strain after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery, came back to play 23 snaps in last month's win over Philadelphia. But during a sack, quarterback Colin Kaepernick rolled into his left leg causing him to miss the remainder of the game.
Davis said he was hopeful to play in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. Both Davis and Brock practiced in regular jersey's, not blue no-contact jerseys players dealing with injuries usually wear.
