Bloch made his ruling after listening to more than 13 hours of testimony last Friday at a Philadelphia airport hotel. He later refused to apologize to McNabb and his teammates for his comments. Owens' suspension will be up after Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers, but coach Andy Reid already has said that the club intends to deactivate Owens for the team's final six games. He still has five years left on the seven-year contract he signed with the team last year, but the Eagles are expected to release him before March 1, when he is due a $5 million roster bonus if he still is on the team. 1122 Losman, J.P. Coach Jeff Fisher expects McNair to practice Thursday. 134 Bennett, Drew (Tennessee Titans) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- WR Drew Bennett should be even more comfortable playing in a splint to protect his left thumb in his second game back from a dislocated thumb Sunday against the 49ers. 2093 Woolfolk, Andre (Tennessee Titans) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- CB Andre Woolfolk (hamstring) could return and play as the nickel back against the 49ers on Sunday. 268 Calico, Tyrone (Tennessee Titans) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- WR Tyrone Calico (calf) practices some Wednesday and could return to action against the 49ers. 477 Dorsey, Ken (San Francisco 49ers) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- QB Ken Dorsey, who played well against Seattle, will get a second consecutive start over Alex Smith, the player the 49ers are still banking on as the team's long-term answer at the position. 863 Horton, Jason (Green Bay Packers) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- CB Jason Horton was placed on injured reserve Wednesday because of a chronic shoulder injury with which he's been playing. 53883 Gado, Sam (Green Bay Packers) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- RB Samkon Gado is under consideration to get a third straight start Sunday at Philadelphia despite fumbling three times in two games and managing only 7 yards on 10 carries in last week's loss to Minnesota. This comes after coach Norv Turner had said Monday he expected Sapp to practice and play. 370 Conwell, Ernie (New Orleans Saints) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- TE Ernie Conwell will probably be sidelined again for Sunday's game with the New York Jets. It was the best single-game rushing effort in the NFL this year and the best in the league since LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 243 in a December, 2003 game against Oakland. 628 Gammon, Kendall (Kansas City Chiefs) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- LS Kendall Gammon saw his streak of 218 consecutive games end when he was placed on injured reserve this week after fracturing his fibula in the winning over Houston. Gammon never missed a game in four seasons with Pittsburgh (where he played in one Super Bowl and one Pro Bowl as a need player), four in New Orleans and four-plus years in Kansas City. He even continued playing last Sunday after initially cracking his leg upon taking a hit on the line of scrimmage during a punt play. 92 Barber, Shawn (Kansas City Chiefs) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- LB Shawn Barber, a former starter who has been out more than a year since tearing his ACL ligament in a Week Eight game in Tampa Bay last year, confirmed Wednesday that he had been activated to the 53-man roster. Barber's year-long recovery was necessitated when two surgeries were required to repair his damaged knee. Barber likely will work primarily with the special teams when he is put on the 45-man game-day active list. 1793 Surtain, Patrick (Kansas City Chiefs) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- CB Patrick Surtain could not practice Wednesday on his sprained ankle. Though Sims got in some work with the regular defense Wednesday, coach Dick Vermeil said it is more likely that Sims might be active for next week's home game with Denver than Sunday's game against New England. 2087 Woods, Jerome (Kansas City Chiefs) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- FS Jerome Woods remains out for this week's game against New England with a hamstring injury. 401 Cruz, Ronnie (Kansas City Chiefs) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- FB/HB Ronnie Cruz is doubtful for this week's game against New England with a knee injury. 53972 Griffin, Kris (Kansas City Chiefs) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- LB Kris Griffin is doubtful for this week's game against New England with a hamstring injury. 1871 Tubbs, Marcus (Seattle Seahawks) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- DT Marcus Tubbs (calf) did not practice Wednesday. Leander Jordan would replace him. 1070 Leber, Ben (San Diego Chargers) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- ILB Ben Leber (foot) wasn't able to work and he won't play on Sunday; he's a backup. 586 Foley, Steve (San Diego Chargers) (11/24/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- OLB Steve Foley (abdominal strain) was able to work on Wednesday. 144 Bettis, Jerome (Pittsburgh Steelers) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- RB Jerome Bettis is on pace for his lowest rushing total in his 13 seasons. The Cardinals' 38 points were a season high, as Warner passed for 285 yards and three touchdowns. He was not intercepted and was sacked only once. 168 Boldin, Anquan (Arizona Cardinals) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- WR Anquan Boldin reached the 200-catch milestone faster than anyone who has ever played the game. Among his eight receptions at St. Louis was the 200th of his three year career, in his 34th game. That is two games ahead of previous record-holders Lionel Taylor of Denver (1960-62) and Tom Fears of the Los Angeles Rams (1948-50). 1488 Rackers, Neil (Arizona Cardinals) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- K Neil Rackers hasn't missed yet in 31 field-goal tries. The last NFL kicker to have a perfect season was Mike Vanderjagt of the Colts in 2003 (37-for-37). Jeff Wilkins of St. Louis did it in 2002, but he attempted only 17 on a record-breaking offense that scored touchdowns instead of field goals. Gary Anderson of Minnesota made all 35 in 1998. He was coached by Dennis Green, now coach of the Cardinals. And Tony Zendejas of the Los Angeles Rams was perfect in 17 tries in 1991. 1664 Shipp, Marcel (Arizona Cardinals) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- RB Marcel Shipp (26 catches) and fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo (25) are among only two sets of backfield teammates in the league with at least 25 catches each. The other is Steven Jackson and Marshall Faulk and the Rams. 1488 Rackers, Neil (Arizona Cardinals) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- K Neil Rackers continues his assault on records. With 31 field goals without a miss, he needs one more to pass Fuad Reveiz for the third-longest streak in NFL history. He became the first ever to make at least two field goals in 11 consecutive games, a salute not only to his accuracy and consistency but also to a sputtering red-zone offense. 962 Johnson, Teyo (Free Agent) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- TE Teyo Johnson was released following the emergence of Eric Edwards and Adam Bergen among an inexperienced group of tight ends. 54946 Shazor, Ernest (Arizona Cardinals) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- SS Ernest Shazor, regarded in many circles to have been the steal among undrafted rookies, was promoted to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. 7544 Moses, J. Moses was released with the return from a toe injury by primary return man Reggie Swinton. 487 Droughns, Reuben (Cleveland Browns) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- RB Reuben Droughns, with 868 yards rushing, needs just 20 yards to set a team rushing record in the expansion era. It will be his 282nd consecutive appearance, one more than defensive end Jim Marshall of the Minnesota Vikings. "It's more a tribute to longevity and staying in condition," Feagles said. "I work very hard at keeping my legs in shape. Part of it, I'm sure, is genetics. But I do everything I can to help out." 1428 Pierce, Antonio (New York Giants) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- MLB Antonio Pierce, commenting on Seattle's star running back, Shaun Alexander, was properly respectful. "He's running harder, and it looks like he's running downhill most of the time," he said. "Defenses have sent linebackers up front to join the defensive linemen and hope to cut him off." 2001 Whitfield, Bob (New York Giants) (11/23/2005) ---------------------------------------------------------- LT Bob Whitfield, the 34-year-old veteran of 13 seasons, came in for Luke Petitgout last week when the starter left with a bruised knee.
