The previous leader in that category? San Francisco 49, San Diego 26 in Super Bowl XXIX - San Francisco's last world title.

--- Only one NFL team ever has advanced to the Super Bowl after winning a wild-card game by five points or less.

That team was the 1992 Buffalo Bills, who overcame a 35-3 deficit to defeat the Houston Oilers 38-35 in overtime. That's game represents the greatest comeback back in NFL postseason history - now followed in that category by San Francisco's comeback against New York, the second-greatest comeback in playoff history.
