The Houston Texans worked out four linebackers Tuesday, according to a league source.
That included former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrell Smith.
Smith is a former Syracuse standout who went undrafted in April and signed with the Buccaneers in July following the NFL lockout.
The 6-foot-2, 232-pounder was a two-year starter for the Orangemen after converting from running back.
He forced four fumbles as a senior.
The Texans also worked out former Baltimore Ravens undrafted rookie free agent linebacker Josh Bynes and linebackers Mike Rivera and David Nixon.
None of the players were signed, though.
