The Seattle Seahawks have placed offensive tackle Russell Okung on injured reserve doe to a torn pectoral muscle.
The NFL suspended injured Seahawks rookie offensive guard John Moffitt for four games without pay for violating the NFL performance-enhancing drug policy. He's already on injured reserve.
And the Seahawks signed offensive guard Mike Gibson to replace Okung on the roster.
Okung was flung to the ground by Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Trent Cole, sustaining an injury that will require surgery and sideline him for six months.
Gibson started eight games for the Seahawks last year.
He recently worked out for the Chicago Bears and has also tried out for the Dallas Cowboys this year.
As for Moffitt, who's on injured reserve with torn knee ligaments, his agent, Michael George, announced that the suspension stems from the former Wisconsin standout taking a prescription drug, Adderall, used to treat hyperactivity.
Moffitt didn't get prior approval from the NFL for taking the drug.
