Chester Pitts Profile
The New York Giants and New York Jets tried out veteran offensive tackle Chester Pitts, according to a league source.
Pitts wasn't signed, though, as the Giants added former Indianapolis Colts offensive tackle Tony Ugoh to the roster to replace Stacey Andrews. Andrews was placed on injured reserve.
The Giants also tried out offensive tackle Renardo Foster and Ugoh.
Pitts recently worked out for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Redskins.
Pitts, 32, is a former Houston Texans starter who started five games last season for the Seattle Seahawks.
A former second-round draft pick from San Diego State, Pitts underwent microfracture knee surgery after hurting his right knee two years ago when he was with the Texans.
He signed with the Seahawks last year.
