Dan Skuta Profile
The Cincinnati Bengals have extended given restricted tender offers to long snapper Clark Harris and linebacker Dan Skuta and an exclusive-rights tender to safety Jeromy Miles.
"All three of these guys made real contributions to our reaching the playoffs last season," Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said. "We are glad to have Jeromy back in the fold, and it's certainly in our plans to have Clark and Dan back as well."
Harris and Skuta may negotiate with other teams, but the Bengals will have the right to retain the players by matching any signed offer.
The deadline for a restricted free agent to sign an offer sheet from another team is April 15. Any restricted free agent who has not signed an offer sheet by that date will have his 2012 NFL rights revert exclusively to his 2011 club.
As an exclusive-rights player, Miles also has the option of signing the tender offer or negotiating a longer-term contract with Cincinnati.
Harris has played in every game since signing with Cincinnati during the 2009 season, and over that span he has not had an unplayable delivery among his 395 total snaps.
Skuta has played in every game since late in the 2009 season. Last season he had a career-high 34 tackles and tied for second in special teams tackles with 13.
Miles has played in every game since since late in the 2010 season. Last season, he led the special teams with 15 tackles.
