Kamerion Wimbley Profile
Outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley is now a free agent after being released by the Oakland Raiders due to his hefty contract.
Wimbley immediately becomes one of the top pass rushers available with Mario Williams and John Abraham having already signed.
The Raiders were unable to reach an agreement with agent Joe Linta to reduce Wimbley's contract.
By cutting Wimbley, the Raiders save themselves a total of $17.5 million.
The New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs are potential fits for Wimbley.
He was due an $11 million base salary next season, and $6.5 million of that figure is fully guaranteed for skill, injury and cap
The remaining $4.5 million would have become fully guaranteed for skill, injury and cap if he had remained on the roster.
Plus, an additional $13 million through his $11 million 2013 base salary and $2 million of his 2014 $10 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed in the deal if had stayed on the roster
