Newly-minted Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Aaron Ross' three-year, $15.3 million maximum value deal includes a $1 million signing bonus, according to a league source with knowledge of the deal.
He's due a $950,000 base salary this year, a $250,000 roster bonus and a $50,000 workout bonus. Ross is due a $2.2 million base salary and a $1.5 million roster bonus in 2013, and a $3.7 million base salary in 2014.
The deal includes up to $2.25 million in incentive clauses this year, as much as $1.5 million in incentives in 2013 and 2014 with $100,000 to be paid every time he makes the Pro Bowl.
Ross started all but one game last season for the Super Bowl champions and recorded 60 tackles, 12 pass deflections and four interceptions.
He visited the Washington Redskins earlier this week.
Ross, 29, is a former University of Texas standout who has registered 200 career tackles, 33 pass deflections and 10 interceptions in five seasons with the Giants.
Ross was selected in the first round by the Giants in 2007.
He won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back in 2006.
