Notre Dame safety Harrison Smith visited the New York Jets on Thursday, according to a league source.
Smith has previously visited the Dallas Cowboys.
The Jets also hosted Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd on Thursday.
The 6-foot-2, 213-pound defensive back ran the 40-yard dash in 4.57 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, bench pressing 225 pounds 19 times.
He also registered a 34-inch vertical leap, a 10-2 broad jump, a 4.12 20-yard shuttle and a 6.63 three-cone drill.
As a junior, Smith had a career-high 91 tackles and seven interceptions with 90 tackles as a senior to go with one forced fumble and 10 pass deflections.
Smith started a dozen games as a sophomore at both linebacker and safety, recording 69 tackles, 6 1/2 for losses, four pass deflections and a forced fumble.
Smith chose the Fighting Irish over Tennessee, Stanford and Auburn.
