Dan Snyder Profile
One U.S. Representative believes the Washington Redskins will not be able to keep their team nickname.
Redskins team owner Dan Snyder vowed recently that the Redskins will "never" change their name.
Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) believes there will come a time when the Redskins will get rid of their name, and that the time could come soon.
"What's the principle?" Holmes Norton said on NBC Sports' The Erik Kuselias Show. "Let me tell you the opposite. Do you remember the Dan Snyder that sued the City Paper here in Washington because of an article that he regarded as derogatory but pinpointed particularly a picture that accompanied the article that he said was anti-Semitic? Here's somebody who had his own ethic sensibilities [offended] and is unable to turn the other cheek and understand why Native Americans would feel disparaged."
It looks like this battle could wage on for quite a while.
