Aaron Hernandez Profile
A family member of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez died in a car accident, according to The Hartford Courant.
Thaddeus Singleton III, who was the son-in-law of Hernandez's uncle, was found dead after crashing his car into a pole. The death was determined to be an accident.
Singleton was someone Massachusetts police were hoping to talk to as it pertained to the case of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whom Hernandez is accused of murdering.
More of Hernandez's past was dug up on Tuesday, as both The Orlando Sentinel and USA Today reported that Tim Tebow broke up a fight between Hernandez and a bouncer at a Gainesville, Fla. restaurant and bar in 2007.
Hernandez was 17 at the time, and allegedly ordered two alcoholic drinks and refused to pay for them. This led to a confrontation with the bouncer, whom Hernandez, according to the police report, punched in the side of the head. The bouncer's eardrum was ruptured.
Police reportedly wanted to file a felony assault charge against Hernandez, but nothing ever happened. The bouncer, identified as Michael Taphorn, initially wanted to press charges but decided not to, after he was "contacted by legal staff and coaches with UF and that they may be working on an agreement," according to USA Today.
