KEYS TO THE GAME
Packers: DE Cullen Jenkins did nothing more than take a few reps on the scout team in the jog-through for the second straight day and appears unlikely to play Sunday against the Bears. Jenkins, who is second on the team with seven sacks, has missed the last three games because of a calf strain. Without Jenkins at right end, the Packers have been relying on a rotation of Howard Green, Jarius Wynn and C.J. Wilson. ... S Nick Collins had some limited work in pads during Thursday's practice after being held out the previous day. The Pro Bowl starter has been bothered by sore ribs the last two weeks but hasn't missed a game this season and figures to play Sunday. ... CB Sam Shields has yet to practice this week, but coach Mike McCarthy is hopeful the rookie nickel back can be cleared for work Friday and play in the game. Shields is dealing with a knee injury that flared up in a workout earlier this week. He also is the team's kickoff returner. Receiver Jordy Nelson, cornerback Pat Lee and running back James Starks have been taking return reps in case Shields has his role reduced Sunday or can't play. ... C Scott Wells went through the full practice in pads after being held back the previous day because of residual back soreness. Wells should be OK to make the start Sunday. Jason Spitz is the backup. ... LB Frank Zombo hasn't practiced this week, which isn't a good sign for his availability this weekend. The rookie right-side starter has missed the last two games because of a knee sprain. Erik Walden and Robert Francois have alternated as the starters in Zombo's absence, and they split the duties in Sunday's win over the Giants.
