LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with LB James Anderson on a one-year contract today.

The 6-2, 235-pound linebacker has appeared in 94 games with 53 starts (44 at SLB, eight at WLB and one at MLB) over seven seasons with Carolina (2006-12) after being selected by the Panthers in the third round (88th overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech. In Carolina, Anderson has collected 432 defensive tackles, eight sacks, seven fumble recoveries, five forced fumbles, three interceptions, 20 pass break ups and 23 special teams stops.

His 94 games played are the most by a linebacker in Carolina franchise history. He set a Panthers single-game record with 20 tackles (after coaches film review) on September 20, 2012 versus the New York Giants.
