Rodriguez apologizes for arrest

Bears fullback Evan Rodriguez has issud an official statement regarding Friday's arrest.

Chicago Bears fullback Evan Rodriguez was arrested at 3:30 a.m Friday morning and charged with speeding, improper lane change and driving under the influence. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.17, which is more than twice the legal limit.

This was Rodriguez's second arrest in as many months. In March, he was arrested for disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest during a traffic stop in which he was the passenger. He also had two alcohol-related incidents in college.

So if three times is a trend, what does that make the fourth time? According to Rodriguez, it's an opportunity to apologize, again, and make positive changes in his life.

He has issued the following statement regarding Friday's arrest:

"I am deeply sorry for the incident that occurred the other night," said Rodriguez. "I want to apologize to the entire Bears organization, my teammates, coaches and Bears fans everywhere. I realize that I made a very poor decision. I know that more is expected of me and that I let a lot of people down that are counting on me. I will make positive changes in my life so that this doesn't happen again."
