Marshall, Jeffery will play against 49ers

Chicago Bears wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are active for tonight’s contest against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chicago Bears will not be without their two Pro Bowl receivers this evening against the San Francisco 49ers, as both Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) are active and will play.

Marshall didn’t practice all week and Jeffery participated in just limited practice on Friday. The two worked out on the field at Levi’s Stadium about two and a half hours before the game. Both ran well.

After the workouts, Bears brass – including GM Phil Emery, head coach Marc Trestman, receivers coach Mike Groh, the training staff and more – huddled on the field to discuss their star wideouts. Obviously, they felt good enough to give each the go-ahead, although their snaps could be limited.

Expect Santonio Holmes to be very active in the passing game, as well as tight end Martellus Bennett and running back Matt Forte.

Here is the Bears’ full inactive list:

WR Josh Morgan
LB Khaseem Greene

Brian de la Puente will start in place of Garza at center, with Michael Ola at left guard for Slauson. LB Christian Jones is active for the second game in a row in place of Greene.

Here is the 49ers’ full inactive list:

QB Josh Johnson
WR Brandon Lloyd
