Allen, Marshall miss practice

Bears DE Jared Allen and WR Brandon Marshall did not practice today, neither did DT Jeremiah Ratliff and CB Sherrick McManis, plus the rest of the day’s injury reports.

The following Chicago Bears players did not practice today:

C Roberto Garza (ankle)
G Matt Slauson (ankle)
DE Jared Allen (back)
WR Brandon Marshall (ankle)
DE Trevor Scott (foot)
DT Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion)
CB Sherrick McManis (quad)

Garza and Slauson are both expected to miss at least this week and possibly a few more after that. Marshall and Allen are expected to play, while Scott, Ratliff and McManis are day-to-day.

Limited for the Bears were S Chris Conte (shoulder), WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and LB Shea McClellin (hand). WR Josh Morgan (groin) practiced in full.

For the New York Jets, the following players did not practice:

WR Eric Decker (hamstring)
LB Nick Bellore (hip)

Decker was in full pads and worked with the trainers during practice, so he may be on the verge of returning.

Limited for the Jets were RB Chris Johnson (ankle) and C Nick Mangold. Jets head coach Rex Ryan said Mangold’s injury is not serious and he’s expected to play. Also limited were G Willie Colon (calf) and CB Dee Milliner (ankle).
