Bears add Terrell Manning to practice squad

The Chicago Bears have signed third-year linebacker Terrell Manning to the practice squad.

LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears signed LB Terrell Manning to the practice squad and terminated the practice squad contract of WR Greg Herd.

The 6-2, 237-pound Manning has appeared in six games over two seasons with Green Bay (2012) and San Diego (2013), recording three special teams tackles, after being selected by the Packers in the fifth round (163rd overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State.

Herd entered the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys out Eastern Washington. He spent time during the 2013 training camp with the Seattle Seahawks and part of the 2014 preseason with Chicago.
