Marshall, Allen, Conte questionable

Bears receiver Brandon Marshall, defensive end Jared Allen and safety Chris Conte will all be game-time decisions for Sunday’s contest against the Green Bay Packers.

The following Chicago Bears players have been ruled out for Sunday’s contest against the Green Bay Packers:

C Roberto Garza (ankle)
G Matt Slauson (ankle)
CB Sherrick McManis (groin)
LB Shea McClellin (hand)
DT Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion)

C Brian de la Puente and G Michael Ola will start along the offensive line for the third week in a row. McClellin will again be replaced by Jon Bostic at SAM linebacker, CB Isaiah Frey will start at nickelback and rookie defensive tackle Will Sutton will take Ratliff’s spot in the starting lineup.

The following Bears are questionable:

WR Brandon Marshall (ankle)
DE Jared Allen (illness)
S Chris Conte (shoulder)

Allen has stayed home the past two days due to a flu-like illness.

“I leave it up to the trainers, really and the doctors, they have to let us know where he's at and hopefully he'll be ready to go,” coach Marc Trestman said today. “We'll see where he is, we still have a couple more days, we have Trevor [Scott] back this week, we didn't have him last week, so that's a move in the right direction and we'll see where we are tomorrow and prior to the game.”

Marshall hasn’t practiced in three weeks and if he does play, it’s clear he won’t be 100 percent.

“You have to practice the game. It's very difficult to be at your best when you don't practice every day,” said Trestman. “There's timing issues, there's different formations, there's different looks. That's a challenge and you have to weigh those costs and benefits as you move through the week knowing that he may or may not play. So we'll try to work through that and if he is going to play, work hard to put him in position where the things we can give him he knows what to do and he can play at full speed.”

Probable for the Bears are S Ryan Mundy (shoulder) and DE Trevor Scott (foot).

For the Packers, the following players are questionable:

WR Jarrett Boykin (knee)
LB Brad Jones (quad)

The following Green Bay players are probable:

LB Clay Matthews (groin)
CB Davon House (knee)
LB Nick Perry (wrist)
