The Chicago Bears will be without the services of linebackers Lance Briggs and Jon Bostic and right tackle Jordan Mills today against the New England Patriots.
Chicago Bears right tackle Jordan Mills is inactive for today’s contest against the New England Patriots. Mills will miss the first game of his career. He’ll be replaced by Michael Ola, who has started two games at left guard and two at left tackle so far this year.
Also out of the Bears are linebacker Jon Bostic and Lance Briggs, who will both miss their third straight game. Christian Jones will start at weak-side linebacker in place of Briggs.
With Ola at left tackle, the Bears will use their fifth different O-line combination of the season. With Jones starting, this will be the sixth different linebacker combination.
LB Darryl Sharpton will work at middle linebacker in the nickel package.
Also out for the Bears are safeties Danny McCray and Ahmad Dixon, T Charles Leno Jr. and CB Terrance Mitchell.
For the Patriots, the following players are inactive:
DE Chandler Jones
