Nine Bears miss Wednesday's practice

The Chicago Bears are banged up, with nine players not available on Wednesday, including Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. View the full injury report below.

Nine Chicago Bears players did not participate in practice today, although three - LB Lance Briggs, DT Jeremiah Ratlif and RB Matt Forte - were given veteran days off.

The six injured players who sat out today were WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring), WR Brandon Marshall (ankle), DE Trevor Scott (knee), LB Darryl Sharpton (hamstring), WR Chris Williams (hamstring) and DT Ego Ferguson (illness).

Marshall is nursing an ankle injury suffered two weeks ago. He didn't practice last Wednesday either, yet returned to full participation on Thursday and Friday and played on Sunday.

Jeffery re-aggravated the same hamstring that hampered him earlier in the season. His status is currently day-to-day.

Williams also re-injured the hamstring that cost him two preseason games. The injury could be significant, as the Bears signed Pro Bowl kick returner Marc Mariani yesterday.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the following players were limited in practice:

LB Lavonte David (hamstring)
RB Doug Martin (ankle)
CB Alterraun Verner (hamstring)
