Robbie Gould misses practice

Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould was held out of practice today due to a sore groin.

Due to a sore groin, Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould did not practice today.

"Robbie ... was sore this morning," head coach Marc Trestman said after practice. "So we just rested him today. We’ll just see where he is tomorrow."

Gould isn't expected to miss Thursday's game. If he does sit out, punter Patrick O'Donnell will likely take over as the club's place kicker. O'Donnell today said he kicks field goals once per week in case of an emergency and that his range maxes out at 45 yards.

Also sitting out today was WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring), who missed his second straight practice, as well as DE Cornelius Washington (chest) and WR Chris Williams (hamstring). S Chris Conte (eye) returned to practice and was limited, as was DT Jeremiah Ratliff (knee) and LB Darryl Sharpton.

TE Martellus Bennett (foot), CB Tim Jennings (foot), DE Trevor Scott (knee) and G Kyle Long (calf) all practiced in full.
