Bears continue roster moves

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Chicago Bears waived guard/center Brad Williams, wide receiver Fred Coleman and tackle Stan Bennett today, and signed defensive tackle Buck Gurley and guard LeShane Grice.

The Bears rosters currently stands at 65 and must be trimmed to 53 by 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.

Gurley, out of the University of Florida, participated in the Miami Dolphins training camp while Grice, out of Mississippi, was at Tampa Bay.

On Monday, Sept. 3, a five-man practice squad may be established after 4:00PM EST.

To be eligible for the practice squad, a player must not have an accrued season towards free agency. If a player does have an accrued season, he still is eligible for the practice squad if he was not on the active or inactive list for more than nine regular-season games.
