The Chicago Bears today signed cornerback Demontre Hurst, who started two games at nickelback last season, to a two-year contract.

The Chicago Bears today signed cornerback Demontre Hurst to a two-year contract.

Hurst (5-10, 183), a 2013 undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma, played 15 games for the Bears last season with two starts, recording 35 tackles and one interception. He spent his rookie season on the team's practice squad.

Hurst was an exclusive rights free agent and was only permitted to sign with the Bears before the start of free agency. His new contract will run through the 2016 campaign.
